The Story Behind Eight Elegant Englishmen

Eight Elegant Englishmen continues my exploration of layered landscapes. Built from a patchwork of printed and painted papers, it creates a world both playful and surreal. Buildings guide the eye toward a lone figure — a man reciting his own tongue twister as he tends to the sheep. Above, a patterned, billowing sky hovers, completing a scene that is equal parts absurd, colourful, and dreamlike.
