The Story Behind Two Toads Totally Tired

Two Toads Totally Tired is an early work, but one that still delights me. The composition weaves together a double theme: twin women paired with two men comically sharing one set of pants. Billowing smoke drifts from a chimney, while mountains rise from painted papers and maps, their forms reflected neatly along a straight line. Both quirky and precise, the piece plays with repetition, mirroring, and absurdity — a glimpse of the imaginative landscapes that continue to shape my practice.
